Your Saetr Cottage Survival Guide!

We all need a little instruction from time to time, so here they are for those little techno niggles.

If this is not quite what you’re looking for contact me on:

How to? Oven, microwave, dishwasher, log fire – instructions & guides.

We want you to enjoy your holiday, so we haven’t cluttered you up with too many domestic cleaning items.  However, if you feel you need a vacuum cleaner or steam mop, just text in the evening and we’ll leave outside your door.

DUSTBINS (outside the garden gate) – RED is general waste / BLUE is glass/plastic.  Feel free to leave papers under the verandah to be collected by us for recycling. NB. Refuse collection day is Monday, when you’ll find we’ve moved the bins round to the front of the main house for easy collection.

Please enjoy the garden & seating areas.

Morso Log Stove
You have a starter pack of firefighters, kindling and logs, more logs can be purchased locally from the Spar in Chatburn, Tesco Clitheroe (usually), Homebase Clitheroe, Texaco Garage on Whalley Road, Clitheroe, 77 Garage, Gisburn.  Let us know if you get really stuck without!

Start with a firelighter, kindling and a small log with the air supply fully open (extended).  After 5-10 minutes add logs, when going steadily push the air supply control to level with the stove.  For your additional safety, leave to burn out before retiring to bed. Morso Stove Tips

Heaters
These are set on a timer for your comfort.  Should you be too HOT, press the ‘snowflake’ Anti Freeze symbol (set at 7 degrees C and cannot be changed).  Should you be too COLD press ‘M’ (Manual) and press the up or down arrows – press ‘M’ again to return to preset Comfort Mode.  A bright blue dot will flash on the right side of the screen when the radiator is heating.   Press the ‘lightbulb’ symbol to turn the display ON or OFF (upstairs display set to OFF because the light is quite bright!). If you are too warm, please don’t switch off at the main switch on the floor – at the back of the control unit is a switch to turn off. Haverland Heater Tips
