“What a delightful 3 week stay in Saetr Cottage. The owners certainly have put their hearts and souls into presenting an old Viking barn in a state-of-the-art, 5 star manner. Whatever they do, they do with style and quality. The cottage is small, no doubt, but we, as a couple, found it very comfortable and enjoyable, even for a longer term stay. We prepared a variety of meals in the well equipped kitchen, , relaxed in the little, cosy, country lounge room and slept oh so well in a very comfortable bed fitted with quality linen. The bathroom was immaculate and functional with contemporary fittings. Every detail had been considered down to all doors and drawers being soft closing, throws supplied for outdoor sitting on cooler days/nights and lovely rattan chairs for daydreaming whilst looking out over the natural garden setting complete with flowing stream and out to the fields beyond, dotted with dozens of sheep. The cottage is set down a pretty country lane with pheasants almost forming a guard of honour as a welcome! Nature abounds in this area and it is a thrill to walk along the rivers and climb over the rolling green hills. We picked a bucket load of blackberries from along the lanes and ended our walks with cream teas or dinner at one of the local pubs. We don’t hesitate to recommend Saetr Cottage if you want to make gorgeous memories.”  September 2018
